Good food.. Great staff.. Equals excellent service!! I never was a salad kind of gal until now. I highly recommend their strawberry harvest chicken salad w/ tomato basil soup. One thing: if I decide on getting just a salad, it's sometimes not big enough. I hope they consider making larger portion options. They get really busy during lunch, but the line moves very quick.

Cafe Zupas serves up freshly prepared sandwiches, soups, and salads. We ate at this location the other day for lunch and I enjoyed the a good lunch. I enjoyed the Honey Bacon Club panini with tomato soup. The chocolate covered strawberry was a delicious ending to lunch.

Asian pulled pork sandwich, nuts about berries salad and lobster bisque soup is just my personal favorite combo there but I haven't tried anything that I didn't like. Your meal comes with chocolate dipped strawberries and bread which hold the soup well and is a nice compliment. It's always busy at lunch but I can see why . The ingredients are fresh and the staff is friendly. I asked for 4 samples bc I was new to the entire thing and they were so patient with me. Maybe I came in on a good day. I'm kidding . This place is fast and taste great .

Great lunch spot. Super friendly high energy staff keeps things moving while making you feel right at home. The 2 combo offers great value. I had the honey bacon club and roasted red pepper & lobster soup. The sandwich was excellent made with fresh ciabatta. The soup was so flavorful and clearly contained real lobster. This place reminds me of another small group of restaurants in Hawaii called Aloha Salads. Like Zupas, they source their product from local farmers and ensure only the highest quality ingredients are used. Part of the growing trend of "food with integrity". Highly recommended.

I really like this place for lunch. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient, and you walk out of there feeling like you had a healthy and fresh meal. The pick two combo is the deal you can't go wrong with. The only problem is all of the salad choices sound delicious, and it is hard to choose which one. I prefer the berry salads (Nuts about Berries or the Spinach/Berry salad), but you can't go wrong with any of them. The soup choices are also all very good (I recommend the Yucatan Chicken tortilla with the free add-ons of avocado and lime). Finally, they always give you a free chocolate dipped strawberry to round out your meal and send you off with a smile.

Cafe Zupas, I just love the freshness of the fruits on my salads, today I decided to try the very berry salad with the lobster bisque. And I was not disappointed at all. It was my first time trying the salad and the berries were delicious, I don't know where they get their fruit because i know most of the berries on that salad are currently out of season, but they were so big and juicy, they made the salad look and taste amazing!

Zupas, you never cease to amaze me with your consistently fresh and tasty menu items. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here, even on the busiest of days. They have their system down to a T. My two favorite soups are the Wisconsin Cauliflower and the Mushroom Bisque, but what makes it even better is if they are mixed together. Thank you to the gal who suggested it to me when I couldn't decide on which flavor to get. That has since changed my life for the better. The Nuts About Berries salad is another favorite of mine, and if you are in the mood to indulge, the Salted Caramel Tiramisu is divine.

Staff is friendly and eager to help. The food is consistently great. I've taken family and friends with me to this place all to everyone's satisfaction. Great lunch spot for a reasonable price. But with all the drink options, no ice tea!?!?!?!

I love this place. Not only is the food amazing (try the summer salad, delish!), but the staff is always upbeat, happy, and helpful, the place is clean and well lit. I love going to a place like this, and it is not just this location, every location I have been to is like this.

Fun to get a chocolate dipped strawberry and bread with your salad, but it doesn't makeup for the mediocre food. Avoid the guacamole at all costs! It is so preservative laden that it stings your tongue and tastes nothing like avocado. It ruined my Chipotle Chicken Salad. Also, there was very little chicken in my salad. I'm not crossing it off list, I'll try a sandwich next time.

Being new to Salt Lake, I had no preconceptions about West Valley. And even though everyone seems to think WestVal is crimey and rapey, I feel perfectly safe here and think WV is the sh*t. Cafe Zupas is one of the newest additions to the area's yummy food offerings. It was my first time at the Zupe yesterday and for about $8 I got a whole sandwich, a half (but still large) bowl of soup, extra bread and a chocolate covered Oreo. They were also giving away free dessert as part of their grand opening. My wild mushroom bisque, albeit a little salty, was still delicious. Creamy with the perfect amount of mushroom flavor. The turkey cranberry sandwich I got was tender and fresh and housed in a nice focaccia-like bread. I was a big fan of the chocolate covered Oreo that came with my meal and the customer service at the counter was fast and friendly. Four instead of five stars because one of the table staff kind of kicked us out of our table. With a line of customers waiting to be seated, this Zupas guy came up, took our trays and asked us to leave so other patrons could sit at our table. He was polite about it, but he still totally kicked us out. And I was still eating my brownie. Oh, and the desserts look better than they taste. Save your calories. Still, it was pretty affordable for the quality and quantity that you get and the soups are fantastic. Nom nom nom your way to West Valley, ya'll.

The food is fresh and lots to choose from but they charge you extra for every little spoonful of toppings on your salad, sandwich or soup. Not impressed.

I would give zupas about 3.5 stars. The staff is friendly and the place is clean, also has an ipod/wifi station where you can charge your ipod. The food was average, but comes with generous portions. An $8 combo will more than fill you up. I got the California turkey and it was decent, I agree with the other reviewers that the cheese needs to be melted more. Chocolate Covered strawberries were a nice touch to end the meal. Would be back for a quick lunch or dinner.

Fresh ingredients make for good (mostly healthy) food. There is always a good menu selection of good food that is good for you. Prices are affordable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is no table service, but everyone will typically go out of their way to do whatever it takes to make your dining experience pleasant.

We normally frequent the Zupas in Jordan Landing. We enjoy the food but not the staff over there. The staff at THIS location were much more professional and welcoming instead of loud and irritating. The staff has a huge effect on the over all atmosphere. We enjoyed our experience at this Zupas SO much more that we decided This is our new favorite Zupas!

I am a potato and I was pleasantly surprised with my lunch at Cafe Zupas today. My friend (Banana) and I split: the Roasted Red Pepper & Lobster soup, Mangoberry salad, California Turkey sandwich, and a chocolate caramel brownie. I thoroughly enjoyed the soup. 'Twas the perfect ratio of lobster to red pepper. Not spicy, just a pinch of warmth to the pepper. The salad was splendid. The sandwich and brownie were solid and tasty. The meal left me stuffed and satisfied, and that is important for a healthy tuber of my size. I will be adding Zupas to my restaurant rotation.

I came here with my family on vacation. This place is a fantastic little soup and salad place. I was impressed by the variety of soups they had. I wanted to try them all but settled on the chicken tortilla. I also had the grilled cheese with pesto sandwich. The soup was very good although I prefer the avocado to be in slices versus mashed up. The grilled cheese was okay, I thought it was cheesy enough but I did not really care for the pesto flavor on it. I LOVE that they give you a chocolate covered strawberry with your order. I also indulged and ordered the chocolate mousse and that was simply divine. I would eat here again and again. I only wish they had one closer to home. They had half and half and trio combos that make sampling multiple soups, salads, and sandwiches easier.

4.5 stars out of 5 Why don't you come to Georgia, Zupas? You would do well! My husband and I want to open up a shop here in GA. Can we? =) The combination meals are a STEAL of a deal. I believe we paid about $7.99 for either a soup or salad and a sandwich (with a strawberry on top! - literally). Any sandwich (not 1/2 the sandwich, the whole 100% sandwich) AND salad or soup. And not just a cup of soup or a mini-salad, it's a very good portion. The soup was a bowl! Extremely generous....... Thoughts on the soups: Clam chowder - This was too watery and not thick enough for my personal taste (based on the sample). Chicken enchilada - This soup was good. The flavor was just right and not overpowering. Wisconsin cauliflower - Basically, a cheese soup. It was okay ... I think I just wanted more. More substance. Chocolate covered strawberry - Dessert. How awesome is this! I thought this was going to be some fancy, upscale sandwich shop, but it was clean and nice but proved to be awesome because of the deal. I'll come again and I wish you would come to me - in Georgia. Go and visit! **You can sample all of the soups!

Zupas, where have you been all my life?? I was super pleasantly surprised by this place. The soups are fantastamazing! Yum! The sandwiches are fresh and inventive, although not overly flavorful. The service was attentive and extremely helpful and friendly. They have some outdoor seating, which is always a plus. The desserts looked delicious, but the complimentary choco-dipped schnozzberries were desserty and satisfying enough for me. Cafe Zupas is not fine dining and you can't get a cocktail. But for what it is, and compared to all the similar places, it's 5 stars for sure. I can't really think of any complaints.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Service is great (I must say it was better before, they seemed to have changed managers, and this new lady just rubs me the wrong way, she seems a little to fake cheery, as opposed to the genuine, friendly tall guy who was there before), restaurant is roomy and spacious so it's never too crowded or too loud, they have ipod/iphone stations in case you need to recharge batteries while you eat, and the food - WOW the food. For the price, you can't beat it! All the salads I've tried were delicious, all sandwiches are one better than the other, and the soups taste like home. I always get the combo (two of three options of salad, sandwich or soup) and this comes with a delicous chocolate covered strawberry and side bread. I come here at least three times a month and always try something new and it never disappoints. Strawberries seemed to have shrunked lately - ever since I saw the new manager around. I wonder if I have unconsciously linked this together and that's why I'm not a big fan of her... LOL. Still, I would give this place 5 stars, and more if Yelp had more to give. It's cheap considering the portion size and food quality - it's like homemade food and not processed fattening food that you can pay more for and regret eating later. Definitely a must-try!

Oh, Cafe Zupas. I think this place is excellent for lunch. It's healthier than a burger and you can feel good about what you ate afterwards. I like their "choose two" combo of a soup and/or a salad and/or a sandwich for under $10. If you are getting a salad, I would highly recommend getting one that has fruits in it. They are 10x better than a regular salad because fruits just enlighten your lunchtime experience. The meals always come with a nice chunk of bread and a chocolate dipped strawberry to finish off the meal on a clean note. Recommendation(s): Get any one of their brownies. So delish! Note(s): If you're getting the combo, I'd recommend getting a sandwich and a salad. The soup is decent but can be salty so you are safe with the other selections instead. Also, sometimes it can get pretty busy around lunchtime but the lines move pretty fast.

My wife and I have been to Cafe Zupas probably 100 times. The associates are always very friendly, the classic soups are rich, and very consistent. The sandwiches (especially the grilled variety) are tasty. My wife loves the salads, but every time I go it's too hard to pass up the soup and sandwich combo. My favs are the ultimate grilled cheese and the tomato basil bisque. A classic pair that's done up right, the Zupas way.

I've always heard about Cafe Zupas but never thought I would become such a fan! One of my co-interns and I were deciding on a place to eat for lunch one day and we had agreed on In-N-Out. On our way over there, she went crazy once she saw that we were in close proximity of a Cafe Zupas. She said to me, "You HAVE to try it." Feeling disappointed since I was already craving Animal Style fries, I caved in and gave my friend a chance to convert me into a Zupas fan. Sure enough, I'm obsessed now! Their combination of fresh ingredients, delicious combinations, and mouth-watering presentation was what got me. I love how they lay most of their food items out in a deli style area and they're willing to give you samples of each type of soup they have. Every time I've gone there, their employees have been SUPER nice and helpful. The best part is that I feel much healthier eating here than at surrounding fast food joints. And how can you go wrong with free bread and a chocolate strawberry/oreo with each meal? Zupas is so satisfying that my boyfriend ALWAYS get the fruit salad when we're there...and he NEVER eats salad. But you know what I don't understand? The employees are not allowed to accept tips! This is where corporate is making me raise eyebrows. Well, whatever they're doing to keep their employees on point, it's working. Bravo, Zupas!

In all honesty, I was VERY VERY VERY disappointed coming back to this location. Normally, I would give it a 5 star but not from what I experienced on 7/23/2013. I didn't like the fact that no one smiled and looked happy, the girl serving the soup her hair was falling out, sweat all over her forehead, not very appealing when I am trying to get some food for lunch... totally ignored the fact that I wanted cheese & tortilla chips in my soup. Messed up my order completely! I made 2 separate orders with very specific instructions as to what soup goes in what bag, what I don't need to what I DO need. Not only did they just throw my food in the bag, but when I tried to carry it my soup fell inside the bag & spilled. So I had to take the food out, re organize it myself (at this point I was very upset already I just wanted to leave) oh and she didn't give me my receipt like I asked since 1 of the orders was for a co worker. Overall, I HATED this place by the time I got into the car. I use to love coming to this location, what happened to your staff???

This was the first time I came to this location but the second time at a Cafe Zupas. The first time wasn't that great. Both times I have felt ripped off. But I wanted to try their sandwiches. I got the turkey, spinach, artichoke pannini. It was pretty dinky for $5. The turkey was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. For a hot sandwich I expect the contents in the middle to be warm. I got a cup of soup as well which was their white bean and vegetable. There was hardly any vegetables or beans in it. It was mostly broth. The food was not all that special. I can make the same thing at home a lot better.

A pretty decent place with good food. The nutritional value is not that bad as per their site. Chocolate covered strawberries is a nice added touch. Good for lunches.

Been to this zupas several times it's always been amazing. I usually get the Cali turkey and the chicken tortilla soup. I'm also a huge fan that they always have such amazing hot sauces on hand like Blair's and Dave's insanity sauce.

BBQ Chicken Salad, dressings on the side. I could eat this every day.
